A Florida man has invented a robot that can insert and remove scleral contact lenses.

Craig Hershoff said the device is designed to help people who are elderly or have limited dexterity, WPLG-TV reports.

The voice-activated Cliara Lens Robot is being tested in Boston and Hershoff hopes to receive U.S. food and Drug Administration clearance for it next year, according to the report.
