ClearVision’s new IZOD Interchangeable Collection includes a classic rectangle eye shape with sharp angles and a metal decor front accent.

HAUPPAGE, NY – Eyewear provider ClearVision Optical has introduced IZOD Interchangeable eyewear, a new collection that lets consumers customize their eyewear by changing the temple color to match their look.
The collection includes four handmade acetate front shapes in two colors and two sizes each, and eight vibrant temple colors, all crafted from lightweight, hypoallergenic TR-90 material. By choosing one frame and two additional temple colors, consumers have the opportunity to create three looks with one frame.
“Especially in the past few years, customization and personalization have become key trends in fashion, whether its footwear, clothing, and accessories – even eyewear,” says Peter Friedfeld, ClearVision’s executive vice president. “Consumers use customizable products as another way they can express their own uniqueness. So we created the IZOD Interchangeable collection for those self-expressive consumers to whom ‘one size fits all’ does NOT apply; it’s a unique collection that lets these consumers quickly and easily customize their look. Plus, it reinforces IZOD’s trademark style of colorful designs with a youthful focus.”
IZOD Interchangeable includes a unique, patent-pending interlocking system in which consumers click a button to remove the temple, then slide and lock the new temple into place. Engineered through 3D printing technology, the slim design of the interlocking system was perfected for maximized ease of use by consumers. Use of 3D printing technology streamlined the design process, significantly reducing development time.
Each style comes standard with a particular color temple; consumers can choose two additional sets of temples, available in vibrant solids and colored tortoise. Patients will receive their frames and two additional sets of temples in a custom-designed box. In addition, a variety of in-store merchandising materials has been designed to help showcase the collection and is available through a special introductory program through April 29. Materials include an IZOD Interchangeable custom display that showcases the four frame fronts in both colors, as well as the interlocking system and eight temple colors. A lenticular counter card demonstrates how to change the temples. A video series, including a consumer-facing waiting room video, is available by request.
