The main event begins in Oceanside, CA, travels 3,000 miles with 170,000 vertical feet of climbing, and finishes in Annapolis, MD. Competitors can enter the race solo, or on two-, four- and eight-person relay teams. Many racers also raise money for charitable causes, collectively leading to more than $2 million donated annually.
