AOA Issues 2022 Call For Courses

Deadline is July 26.

(PRESS RELEASE) The American Optometric Association (AOA) is committed to providing quality education for doctors of optometry, paraoptometric staff and future doctors. AOA is inviting all members to submit lectures and courses for consideration as part of the AOA’s 2022 educational lineup: Optometry’s Meeting 2022 in Chicago, Illinois, June 15-19; the Virtual Learning Livecast (dates to be determined in 2022); and the AOA’s EyeLearn Professional Development Hub.

While the AOA is a COPE — (Council on Optometric Practitioner Education) qualified administrator and a number of courses accepted for doctor of optometry education may be submitted for COPE approval, all courses offered will qualify for AOA CE credit. The AOA will consider all areas of ophthalmic education, including those that address emerging technologies, innovations in optometric patient care and business management.

All application submissions must be submitted online by July 26, 2021. Additional suggestions/desired topic content and requirements for speakers can be found here. Questions regarding the call for courses can be directed to Keegan Palzkill, education program analyst, at [email protected]
