64-Year-Old Eyewear Boutique Spends “Sizable Sum of Money” to Recreate Shopping Experience

The interior got a major remodel, including the installation of a refreshments bar.

Writing for the Daily Optician, Daniel Brunson of Hicks Brunson Eyewear in Tulsa, OK explains how the decision was made to revamp the 64-year-old boutique in order to enhance the customer shopping experience. The remodel called for the carpet to be replaced with vinyl flooring and the fluorescent lighting to be replaced with warmer LED track lighting, among other updates that cost a “sizable sum of money.” Brunson writes:

“Since buying eyewear in an upscale boutique is all about the experience, it became important that we think carefully about the best ways to enhance the buying experience at our store. We added a refreshments bar and mini fridge to the sales floor area so we can more easily get our clients drinks while they shop. On the wall behind the refreshment area we put up a beautiful tile backsplash and mounted a flat panel TV that will display any videos we have made as well as content supplied by our vendors.”
