Along with the launch of its DB Eyewear by David Beckham collection, Safilo has released a new behind-the-scenes video of the photogenic former soccer star on set of his new advertising campaign.
A first from the globally recognized celebrity athlete, the DB Eyewear by David Beckham collection includes sunglasses and optical frames. Beckham worked closely with the Safilo design team to design the frames. The acetate and metal eyewear frames with mineral, polar or photochromic lenses feature masculine design, craftsmanship and distinctive details, in a color palette of warm Havana shades and classic metallics.
Safilo and Beckham announced a 10-year partnership in June 2019.
“Safilo has a long history of creating high quality eyewear brands,” said Beckham that June. “I wear sunglasses all the time and this is a category that I love. So, it’s important to me to work with a partner who cares as much about the design and craftsmanship of the product as I do,” said Beckham. “I’m really enjoying the process of creating a collection with the Safilo team – and I can’t wait to launch it next year.”
