(PRESS RELEASE) MASON, OH — EyeMed, the fastest growing vision benefits company, has appointed Matt MacDonald to the role of president. Matt succeeds Lukas Ruecker who, after nine years in the role, has decided to step down for personal reasons.

MacDonald has been with EyeMed since 2013, and most recently served as Chief Operations Officer. Prior to that, he held the position of Vice President of Marketing and Strategy for EyeMed. In his new role, MacDonald will report to Francesco Milleri, CEO of EssilorLuxottica.

“Matt has a proven track record within the company. He has worked in leadership roles within EyeMed for nine years, helping to grow it into a true leader in managed vision care and beyond,” said Francesco Milleri, CEO of EssilorLuxottica, EyeMed’s parent company. “We are pleased to welcome Matt into this important role.”

MacDonald has over 20 years experience in operations, strategy, marketing and customer service. Before joining EyeMed, he held key roles with companies including Accenture.
