The new version is for business use.
Google Glass is making a comeback, this time as a business product, the BBC reports.
Google parent Alphabet has been quietly working on the project over the past couple of years even though it stopped selling the original Google Glass.
The new Glass Enterprise Edition is a smart eyewear set in the same vein as the original product. But it comes with a number of improvements ranging from longer battery life to a more robust processor.
The company is touting it as “a hands-free device, for hands-on workers.”

Project lead Jay Kothari wrote on Medium: “Workers in many fields, like manufacturing, logistics, field services, and healthcare find it useful to consult a wearable device for information and other resources while their hands are busy.”
The company has “spent the last two years working closely with a network of more than 30 expert partners to build customized software and business solutions for Glass for people in these fields,” he said.
