(PRESS RELEASE) NEW YORK – Registered nurse Mordecai Erps has been named director of GuildCare in Manhattan. GuildCare, a division of Lighthouse Guild, is the only Adult Day Health Care program in New York State specializing in services for people with vision loss and provides services in Manhattan, Albany, Buffalo, and Niagara Falls.
Mr. Erps will have responsibility for day-to-day operations and overall management of Manhattan GuildCare. He has extensive experience in health care and nursing administration, having most recently served as Director of Nursing Services for the Jewish Board of Family and Children Services in New York, a division of the New York State Office for People with Developmental Disabilities. He received his BA in Nursing from Long Island University and his AA from Kingsboro Community College.

GuildCare provides a broad range of services, including nursing care, medication management, diabetes care, physical, occupational and speech therapy, social work services, nutritional counseling, vision rehabilitation, therapeutic activities, morning snack and lunch. Services and activities are specially designed and adapted for individuals with all levels of disability – physical, cognitive, and visual. Individuals do not have to be blind to qualify for GuildCare programs.
