After careful consideration of the issues surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, Lighthouse Guild is postponing its Bressler Vision Science Symposium until fall 2021.

The fall 2021 symposium will recognize the 2020 Bressler Prize recipient, Gerrit Melles, MD, PhD from the Netherlands Institute for Innovative Ocular Surgery (NIIOS) and the 2020 Pisart Award recipient, Philip Kiser, PharmD, PhD, from the University of California, Irvine School of Medicine.

Updated information will be available later this year at lighthouseguild.org/awards.

The organization said in a press release: “This is a challenging time for everyone. The company appreciates your understanding and look forward to hosting you in the fall of 2021. Until then, stay safe and healthy.”
