National Sunglasses Day is this week. No doubt every eyecare professional reading this is well equipped to extoll the benefits of sunglasses to their customers. However, who couldn’t use a few extra pointers ahead of one of the biggest days on the eyewear calendar?
You’ve got a chance to hone your sunglasses knowledge – and improve your pitch game in the process – just in time for Tuesday’s annual observance of National Sunglasses Day.
The Vision Council and EssilorLuxottica are teaming up to host a live event that will highlight the importance of donning suns for eye protection. And no conversation about sunglasses is complete without addressing the style aspect of shades. A panel of industry experts headlined by Vision Council CEO Ashley Mills will discuss the heath benefits and style aspects of sunglasses.
According to a press release from The Vision Council: “The ‘Where Fashion Meets Function’ event will showcase the functional, emotional, and social qualities of eyewear and equip eyecare professionals to make the most of National Sunglasses Day with their patients.”
