(PRESS RELEASE) MODO Eyewear has added a catalog of Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) material needed by its ECP customers as they prepare to reopen their practices. The PPE is FDA- approved and branded M Factory, MODO’s Brooklyn-based manufacturing branch.
The offering will consist of KN95 masks, disposable face masks, face shields, vinyl and nitrile gloves, as well as hydrogen peroxide wipes. All supplies will be added to MODO’s B2B ordering site, Modobiz.com
In concert with The Vision Council’s guidelines, MODO suggests that Eyecare Practitioners and their staff use KN95 masks, nitrile gloves, and face masks at all times. They recommend that all visiting customers should wear, at a minimum, disposable masks and vinyl gloves that can be supplied by the ECPs if necessary. MODO also suggests that all frames be sanitized with hydrogen peroxide wipes before being given to customers, and again before returning the frames to displays.
Eager to participate in the fight against COVID-19 in their hometown, MODO has pledged a donation of 50,000 masks to the public hospital, NYC Health + Hospitals Jacobi, located in the Bronx.
“We are proud to contribute to the fight to defeat this terrible disease” said Alessandro Lanaro, global CEO. “We owe a great deal of gratitude to the heroes – all doctors, nurses, and medical staff putting themselves in harm’s way to save lives!”
