(PRESS RELEASE) Shamir Optical Industry, leader in the production of lenses based on advanced technologies including Artificial Intelligence, has officially entered the Japanese market. It has formed a business partnership with Japan’s biggest optics chain, Paris Miki, whose annual sales turnover is about half a billion dollars.
Shamir will be providing Paris Miki with its breakthrough technology that enables the production of high quality and personally customized optical lenses within 24 hours.
The new partnership is uncharacteristic of the Japanese who generally prefer to work with Japanese companies. However, no competitor could match Shamir’s new InoTime technology, which won them over.
The service will be provided by an InoTime laboratory developed by Shamir and established with exclusivity in Tokyo. This will allow customers to receive a new pair of glasses, personally customized to them, within one day, as opposed to the usual waiting time of a week. So far, Shamir has established 8 InoTime laboratories around the world in New Zealand, Singapore, Italy, France, two in Portugal, in Canada, and now in Japan.
Yagen Moshe, CEO Shamir Optical Industry, said, “This is a historic moment for Shamir, and a very exciting moment for me personally. We have officially inaugurated Shamir Japan and were chosen by Paris Miki – Japan’s leading optics company – as their preferred business partner. We intend to continue being a leader in the field with Israeli technology throughout the world.”
