(PRESS RELEASE) CARLSBAD, CA — SynergEyes Inc., which makes hybrid contact lens technology, announces its licensing agreement with Tangible Science LLC.
The alliance enables SynergEyes to offer Tangible Hydra-PEG, a “breakthrough polymer coating,” to practices and patients. SynergEyes received FDA clearance for Tangible Hydra-PEG in August, and the lubricious coating is now available on Duette and Duette Progressive lenses.
Tangible Science’s president and CEO, Vic McCray, MD, said: “Tangible Hydra-PEG is designed to solve the problem of contact lens discomfort by increasing wettability, surface water retention, tear breakup time, lubricity and deposition resistance. The positive experiences of those already wearing Duette with Tangible Hydra-PEG demonstrates the value of the coating.”

Duette and Duette Progressive with Tangible Hydra-PEG are now available in the United States, and will be available internationally in 2017.

SynergEyes manufactures and markets hybrid contact lenses including the Duette family of contact lenses for astigmatism with Duette and Duette Progressive.
