True Tales

This High-Maintenance Customer Was Quoted an Exorbitant Price for a Repair in an Effort To Discourage Her Business

“A patient came to our office to complain that her eyeglasses that were 10 years old were not fitting well. We told her the eyeglasses were purchased from another store but she continued to complain that we should fix them. I told her I would repair them for $275 hoping she’d see her way out. She left … but then came back to have them repaired! But she is still a customer that I do not want.” — B.J. Chambers, Carrera Optical, Universal City, TX
