ECA specializes in the refurbishment and repair of advanced technology instrumentation.
Minneapolis-based Walman announced that it has acquired Eye Care Alliance, an Apex, NC-based medical device company, in a move to expand its Walman Instruments division.
ECA is an instrument company that specializes in the refurbishment, repair and support of advanced technology instrumentation such as OCTs and automated perimeters. It will continue operating out of its existing 7,500-square-foot facility in Apex as a branch of Walman Instruments.
A release from Walman says the goal of the acquisition is to “remove some of the risk that comes with buying high-tech equipment and increases the opportunity for a greater return on investment for its customers. Not only can customers now feel comfortable in choosing pre-owned equipment, they can also get a premium value when trading up to something new.”
“Our shared customer-first approach along with exclusive financing, trial programs and in-office training and education ensures the success of every Walman Instruments customer,” Marty Bassett, president and CEO of Walman, stated in the release. “Both Walman Instruments and ECA are known for the best warranties and customer service in their respective specialties so this partnership is an excellent fit on all levels.”
