What I Really Should Have Said to the Customer Who Kept Trying on Sample Contact Lenses

“Out! Out! Out!”

 To the patient who had tried on lots and lots of sample contact lenses. When I asked her what she was using to help her decide against that particular pair, her response was that she couldn’t see the bottom of her lipstick tube.
