(PRESS RELEASE) The Business Council of Westchester is honoring Zyloware Eyewear with the prestigious Small Business Success Award at the 2020 Hall of Fame Awards hosted Tuesday, July 14. The Small Business Success Award celebrates extraordinary achievements of local small business leaders within Westchester County.
“This is the most prestigious awards program in the county, showcasing the accomplishments of businesses large and small,” said Marsha Gordon, president and chief executive officer of the BCW. “The caliber of businesses we honor each year continues to inspire me.”
This year’s Hall of Fame Awards is focused on 2020 Vision: Seeing the Future of Business and salutes visionary business leaders who have achieved success in their industries. The BCW is honoring Zyloware’s accomplishments as a small business and commitment to the future success of the company, industry, and local economic strength.
Accepting the award, Co-CEO and Chief Operating Officer, James Shyer spoke of his strategy saying, “The pathway to success is best paved by the experts you surround yourself with. A leader ensures each team member is achieving personal satisfaction while being vested in the global initiative.”
As a 97 year old family-owned business, Zyloware has integrated a commitment to its community into its company culture. In 2016, Zyloware officially registered National Eyewear Day with the National Day Calendar to create a dedicated day to bringing awareness to eyewear and the importance of proper eye care and comprehensive eye exams. In 2019, Zyloware was able to provide free comprehensive eye exams and quality eyewear to 78 members of the local community.
Since its inception, The Business Council of Westchester’s Hall of Fame Awards has inducted over 95 business leaders who share a uniting focus on future growth and success. Zyloware joins an esteemed group of local business leaders who will be celebrated during the 2020 Hall of Fame virtual ceremony on July 14 at 6:00 PM.
