(PRESS RELEASE) HAUPPAUGE, NY — For the eighth time, ClearVision Optical, a Long Island-based eyewear distributor, has been recognized by the New York State Council of the Society of Human Resource Management, Best Companies Group, and Rochester Business Journal as one of the Best Companies to Work for in New York.

The Best Companies to Work for in New York program identifies, recognizes, and honors the best places of employment in New York. To be considered for this recognition, companies must have at least 15 full-time or part-time employees working in New York; be a for-profit or not-for-profit business or government entity; be a publicly or privately held business; have a facility in the state of New York; and be in business for a minimum of one year.

“The 2023 Best Companies to Work for in New York are champions of business who know the importance of a positive, productive work environment. They support their staff members, which results in success throughout the entire company,” said Suzanne Fischer-Huettner, managing director of BridgeTower Media. “The Rochester Business Journal is pleased to join the New York State Council of the Society for Human Resource Management and the Best Companies Group in recognizing the achievements of these deserving companies.”

On April 19, ClearVision Optical attended a celebration at the Hilton Albany in Albany, NY, to honor the winners of the Best Companies to Work for in New York. At the event, companies were ranked in their respective categories, with ClearVision being named the 13th best company to work for in its group.

ClearVision highly values this accolade and considers it an opportunity to learn from other organizations that share the same values and prioritize culture. The company also uses this commendation to celebrate its intentional focus on training and continuous development, generous and inclusive benefits, and purposeful engagement and communication.

Moreover, ClearVision Optical views the contest as a chance to receive direct feedback from team members on what is working well and where improvements can be made, as placement is largely determined by employee surveys. These surveys provide a platform to highlight the company’s culture and the unique ways in which ClearVision connects with the community through philanthropic efforts.

Finally, ClearVision sees this recognition as a point of distinction that helps attract talented individuals who prefer to work for purpose-driven companies. As a competitive and performance-oriented company, ClearVision is delighted to see that its hard work and thoughtful efforts have paid off, and they are proud to be distinguished.

“Using ClearVision’s values to guide our decision-making ensures that we preserve the culture that has served us well for close to 75 years,” Jen Trakhtenberg, ClearVision’s co-chief operating officer and head of talent, explained. “It informs how we identify, retain, and develop outstanding talent and ensures that we continue to invest in our team through inclusive benefits and continuous education. We are always thinking about how we can deliver fun and fulfillment to ensure team CVO is energized to make every day better for someone else. To again be recognized for our efforts is an honor, and we are thrilled to be award recipients.”
