MONTREAL — New Look Vision Group Inc. announced that Mario Pageau, its senior vice president, optician networks, has died.
Pageau, who also served as president of New Look Eyewear, passed away suddenly on Saturday, according to a press release from the company.
Antoine Amiel, president and CEO of New Look Vision, said: “It is with great sadness that I announce the passing of my friend and colleague Mario Pageau. Mario had served as our Senior Vice President Optician Networks and New Look Eyewear President since October 2017 and for 17 years before that, in various key positions throughout New Look Vision.
“His passion, dedication, humanity and humour will live on in our memories and inspire our actions. On behalf of all at New Look Vision, I offer our deepest condolences to his loved ones.”
Marie-Josée Mercier, vice-president for sales and customer experience, New Look Eyewear, since 2010, has been appointed general manager of New Look Eyewear, effective immediately.
Mercier has over 30 years of experience, including 14 years with New Look Vision Group.

Pageau is survived by his wife, Andrea Benavente; his sons, Felix, Rafael and Matias; his daughters, Emilie and Rebeca; and his parents, George and Nicole.
