(PRESS RELEASE) JACKSONVILLE, FL – Johnson & Johnson Vision, a global leader in eye health and part of Johnson and Johnson MedTech, will partner with InfantSEE, a public health program managed by Optometry Cares – the American Optometric Association (AOA) Foundation, to give hands-on training for optometrists while providing instruction and eye exams for babies during the 2023 Optometry’s Meeting of the AOA in Washington D.C., June 21-24.

Johnson & Johnson Vision will host Healthy Vision for a Lifetime workshops on Thursday, June 22 from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. ET. The live demonstrations and trainings of specialized infant eye exams are in partnership with InfantSEE. The program helps familiarize parents on the importance of eye care to ensure early treatment of vision issues, like myopia, a growing epidemic that affects an estimated one in three children in the U.S.

“Sight is one of our most precious senses – its foundationally critical, enabling our ability to learn, grow, and form connections,” said Lori Tierney, president of Americas, Johnson & Johnson Vision. “Yet 1 billion people globally suffer from visual impairment that could have been prevented or is yet to be addressed. At Johnson & Johnson Vision we feel a great responsibility to encourage and provide access to comprehensive eye exams from an early age in order to change the trajectory of eye health. Through this partnership with InfantSEE, our Sight for Kids program with Lions Club International Foundation, and our See Your Abiliti portfolio, we are collaborating with doctors of optometry to pave the way for a new future of eye health.”

During the Optometry’s Meeting, Johnson & Johnson Vision will also:

  • Feature the latest contact-lens innovation ACUVUE OASYS MAX 1-DAY contact lenses and ACUVUE OASYS MAX 1-Day MULTIFOCAL contact lenses (Booth #606).
