A DJ spun the tunes all night at Kate Spade New York’s invitation-only VEW party.

INVISION Magazine was there to capture the evening in pictures.

Kate Spade New York hit a home run with the selected venue for the Welcoming Party: The Wynn Las Vegas.

For Vision Expo West attendees, the sprawling and stunning Wynn property conveniently is located across the street from the Venetian Conference & Expo Center.

The Wynn Las Vegas is nearing its 20th anniversary and remains a premier destination on The Strip.

It is worthy of a visit even if you don’t stay there on your next trip to Las Vegas.

Once inside the Wynn, it was a hike to reach Kate Spade New York’s event space on the Sunset Terrace.

Thankfully, event staff were positioned at key junctures along inside hallways to keep guest on the right path.

Kate Spade New York’s Welcoming Party was a full four-hour affair from 5 to 9 p.m.

Things were humming along smoothly by the time INVISION Magazine arrived on the scene fashionably late at 5:30.

Guests were mingling, bubbly was pouring, and hors d’oeuvres were being passed around by the efficient event staff.

Guests particularly enjoyed the try-on station.

Attendees could pose with friends for a digital picture while wearing fashionable Kate Spade sunglasses or frames.

The try-on station was busy throughout the evening with some guests stopping by multiple times.

It wouldn’t be a proper eyewear industry event without elegant eyewear on display.

A video feed of just the try-on area during the Welcoming Party would have been entertaining.

Guests played eyewear dress up, acted up, and cracked up before an automated, interactive camera took their picture.

Some groups, such as this one, got it down right away.

Other groups, not so much.

Representatives from Amazon were on hand showing off the new Carrera Smart Glasses with Alexa.

The Kate Spade New York event at the Wynn Las Vegas oozed style and class. However, the overall vibe was light and inviting.

Speaking of style (and planned segues), the Eye Style Influencers strode in with flair putting our sense of fashionably late to shame in the process.

Sweet treats on display.

Kate Spade New York’s Las Vegas party featured a swag giveaway game.

Guests were given a token upon arrival which was good for one try at, what was essentially, a giant gumball machine.

It was filled with small plastic orbs. Guests would open their orb to see if they’d won something.

Unfortunately, the giant gumball machine turned out to be more form than function.

An event staff member had to manually extract the orbs. Thus, guests were robbed of the satisfaction of placing their token in the slot and turning the lever themselves.

(Yes, first world problems. But still…)

However, the fortunate handful who won prizes found the “gumball” game satisfying enough.

And, thankfully, those that didn’t win the “gumball” game had ample ways on hand to console themselves.

The Sunset Terrace at the Wynn filled with guests as the evening rolled along.

The reflection of the setting sun off a nearby building added an ethereal hue to the evening’s proceedings.

From our standpoint, the Kate Spade New York party was one of the highlights of the week in Las Vegas at Vision Expo West 2023.

Or course, not everyone is equally adept at handling an open-bar situation.

The gentleman dressed in all black, wearing shades after the sun went down, and holding onto a half-consumed cigar had a few “interesting” words to say to the gathered guests before the microphone was removed from his hands.

But order was soon restored in time for a group photo of those in attendance.
