The school has retained a search firm.
The New England College of Optometry has launched a search for a new president to succeed Dr. Clifford Scott, who is retiring in 2018.
The school has retained Isaacson, Miller, a national executive search firm, to assist in the process. Applications and nominations are being accepted now.
NECO is seeking “a proven leader with the experience, creativity, and skill to position NECO for continued excellence in a steadily evolving environment for higher education institutions and healthcare organizations,” according to a press release.
“The candidate’s past experiences should demonstrate a history of innovative and effective leadership in directing the human, financial, and physical resources of a major academic or related institution,” the release continues. “The President will set the course for NECO as it prepares students to succeed in a healthcare environment that is being increasingly measured by access, outcomes, and cost-effectiveness.”
