Some Porsche Owners to Get Free Sunglasses Because of Unusual Lawsuit

If you drive a Porsche, you might be entitled to compensation for your sunwear — depending on the color of your car’s interior.

Some Porsche owners claimed in a lawsuit that glare from their dashboards caused problems with safety, MotorTrend reports. The plaintiffs and Porsche decided to settle.

Cars from model years 2007 through 2016 are affected. They have dashboards in any of these colors: Luxor Beige, Sand Beige, Platinum Grey, Cognac, Natural Brown.

Owners or lessees of these vehicles are entitled to a payment of $50 to $175, MotorTrend reports.

The deadline for claims is Sept. 21.
