3 Optometry Offices Burglarized in 3 Hours

Burglars hit three optometry offices in San Diego County, CA, in three hours Thursday.

One of the businesses was a LensCrafters in Escondido, and the other was Exo Optics in La Mesa, NBC 7 San Diego reports. The other practice was not named in the news report. Its location was given as Santo Road south of state Route 52.

The break-ins occurred in the early morning hours, when the offices were closed. The first happened at about 2:45 a.m.

Police have not said whether the cases are related.

ABC 10 reports that at the LensCrafters location, the thieves “got away with cases full of glasses, frames and lenses.” The front windows were broken.

At Exo Optics, sunglasses were taken after the culprits apparently pried open doors, according to the news report.
