Editor’s Note: To Give Is To Receive

This issue is full of little gifts.

My birthday is in mid-July and I am a firm believer in marking the day in a way I’d like the coming year to follow. I also really like presents. But I got my present early this year when I became editor-in-chief of INVISION.

Since I’ve already gotten my big gift, I am happy I get to celebrate this month by awarding the winners of this year’s America’s Finest Optical Retailers contest. After all, to give is to receive.

When I started at INVISION, one of the things I found so exciting about the role was how engaged and impassioned the readers are about the publication. But it’s clear to me now that your passion for the magazine is really just an extension of your passion for what you do, for your businesses and for providing your patients with the best eye care experience possible.

All three America’s Finest winners, as well as the Honorable Mentions we will profile throughout the coming year, exemplify this passion and each one provides examples of real life ideas and practices that can help make any independent optical just a little bit better.

So it turns out I am not the only one being given a gift this month because there is a little something for everyone in our Big Story (you can find it on page XXXXX), not to mention the usual abundance of tips and tools we usually provide in each issue.

Of course, if you’re feeling generous and want to get me a little something extra anyway (yay presents!), go sign up for the Brain Squad (invmag.us/brainsquad) and fill out our monthly surveys so INVISION can keep on giving you the best information to run your businesses better.

Happy Birthday to me!

Best wishes for your business,
