Georgia Eyecare Office Manager Accused of Stealing $75K

The former business manager of an eyecare practice in Georgia has been accused of theft by deception.

Karen Michelle Rogers worked at Augusta Eye MD, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

Authorities believe she stole nearly $75,000 from the practice.

Rogers was arrested by Richmond County Sheriff’s Office investigators.

She was held at the Charles B. Webster Detention Center on a felony charge.

Authorities first received a report of the alleged thefts in October 2019. Investigators say the thefts began in May 2013, WRDW-TV reports.
