Dr. Adam Ramsey has doubled down on his commitment to diversity in eyecare. Not only does this Diversity, Equality and Inclusion-enthusiast (DEI) run a fiercely independent practice in Florida, he is one of the founders of Black Eyecare Perspective. But that should come as no surprise to those who know him; he’s been making his own lane in the world in an e ort to leave a legacy his whole career. His goal: “Changing the lives of others because of the actions we take today.” Still, he faces the same issues all private practice ODs face — sta ing challenges and insurance standing between him and what’s best for his patients — but when he needs to let o steam: “I take a drive down the coast with the windows down and sunroof open and remember I am my ancestors’ wildest dream.
