An ECP Who Went Above and Beyond … or is it Below? … To Help Out a Loyal Customer

We had a very loyal patient who called to request that we make her a left lens for her glasses, as it was lost in the pool. It was a progressive, photochromatic with front and back AR. Knowing the difficulty of matching the coatings, and knowing they were over a year old, I asked if I could come over and try to find them. (It didn’t hurt that it was a 95 degree day.) She agreed, so I grabbed one of our SeaVision snorkeling masks from a display, went home, grabbed my trunks, and headed over. After clearing the neighborhood kids out, I dove in. Fortunately, I found them on the first attempt in the corner of the pool just below the filter. Unfortunately for me, my excuse to swim was over. The patient was super happy and is still a great client. — John Bruening, Geauga Vision Group, Middlefield, OH
