Capture those Emails and More Manager’s to Dos for December and January

Dec. 4-10

OPERATIONS Run through a checklist of everything that needs taking care of to allow you to focus on selling during the holiday season. After a busy day, the last thing you’ll want to do is run an errand. Stock up on essentials (paper products, ribbon, etc.). In a cold weather location? What are your winterizing needs (de-icing salt, space heaters)?

Dec. 11-17

FINANCES Pre-order any tax forms needed for end-of-the-year through the IRS website.

Dec. 18-24

MEDIA Pitch to local papers a story about how people can use flex dollars — and not just by Dec. 31, but during any grace period they may have, too.

Dec. 25-31

FINANCIAL The new year is a great time to introduce new financial policies to patients. Is it time to raise fees or charge for PD measurements without a purchase?

Jan. 1-7

PLANNING While the holiday season is still fresh, have a meeting to discuss how things went. Discuss broad targets for the 2023 season.

Jan. 8-14

OPERATIONS Set up a procedure to track wait times. If doctors are waiting, there’s a kink in your process — and it’s wasting everyone’s time.

Jan. 15-21

MANAGEMENT Launch a weekly staff email to keep everyone up to speed. Sign them up for our daily bulletin too — www.invisionmag.com/bulletins.

Jan. 22-28
