Inbox Inbox: Letters to the Editor for March 2024 “We thoroughly enjoy reading INVISION and passing it among coworkers to read,” one reader says. Published 2 years ago on March 14, 2024 By INVISION Staff Invision March 2024 Issue Share Tweet As a business that places a premium on customer satisfaction and stays at the forefront of eyewear trends, I believe INVISION magazine and invisionmag.com play a pivotal role in shaping our industry’s narrative. — Abe Z., Brooklyn, NY We thoroughly enjoy reading INVISION and passing it among coworkers to read. — Sohini P., Orlando, FL Each and every issue of INVISION offers many ways to be successful in the optical industry. I try to read it from front to back and take into consideration all of the wonderful pointers from other opticians. You can never know too much. Thank you for 100 issues of fantastic editing. — Chris C., Panama City, FL If you get patients used to the discount model it snowballs and they’ll expect that and more year after year. It just sets a bad precedent. — Amy F., East Brunswick, NJ As of early February, Florida Senate Bill 1112 is back trying to keep Florida optometrists from calling themselves Doctor and/or Optometric Physician. The house version of the bill allows an optometrist to be called a Doctor and/or Optometric Physician. The senate president is adamant her version of the bill passes after Governor DeSantis vetoed her version last year. — Robert E., Oakland Park, FL The proliferation of private equity companies taking over local practices has ironically had a positive effect on our business. They are cutting staff and services and focusing on high paying exams, while we are focusing on long term relationships and sales. So far, so good. — John B., Middlefield, OH I am having some beginner’s fun with AI. I love to create and write but sometimes the vanilla content is a time suck. So AI helps me write faster and doesn’t slow my creativity down. This allows more time for my creative side and to actually write what motivates me. I thought AI would be ‘no deal’ for me but it is definitely a deal! — Karen M., Wyoming, MN Related Topics:Featured INVISION Staff Since launching in 2014, INVISION has won 35 international journalism awards for its publication and website, including the prestigious Neal Award for Best Single Issue in 2019.
