The 2022 Big Survey was launched in late August and ran for about eight weeks. Several hundred North American optical retail owners and managers attempted to complete the online form, with most of the questions attracting a few hundred responses. Participation in the 2022 Big Survey was quite comprehensive, with Canada and most states/districts of the U.S. represented, the exceptions being Alaska, D.C., Kentucky, Mississippi, New Hampshire, New Mexico, Vermont and Wyoming. Among states, California led the way in responses, though the Northeast was the best-represented region overall.
